Lotus Candle
architectural concrete, soy wax
The concrete form stays with you after the candle has burned down
A candle in concrete outlives the candle: when the wax burns away, the form remains and can be used again, as a holder for a tealight or as a small object on a shelf. Unlike glass tumblers, concrete doesn’t crack with changes in temperature and doesn’t glare.
The surface is sealed with a matt varnish or a semi-gloss emulsion. To care for it, use a soft damp cloth without abrasives; wax and oil aren’t needed and will stain the coating.
